The company was founded in 1906 by
August Beck as a mechanical workshop. Over the years the company evolved into a medium-sized industrial firm, specialised in the
manufacture of tools for the fine machining of boreholes. It is in this area that Beck has made a name for itself all over the
world. Above all it is well known for the high quality and precision of its products, which is not least of all due to the
excellent qualifications of our employees. One form of proof of this is its certification in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000,
which has been a matter of course at our company since 1993.
The cornerstone of August Beck GmbH & Co. KG is an extensive standard range of reamers, countersinks and counterbores. With this range of products it is possible to undertake many varieties of finishing tools, solving the customers’ problems to their utmost satisfaction. However, rising cost pressure is causing an ever-increasing demand for production methods that work particularly economically. This is becoming one of the most important prerequisites for the success of a company and it makes it imperative to have high precision, extremely high performance tools. By using specific tools for specific customers it is often possible to cut out several stages in the work process and therefore provide economic solutions to machining problems.
Over the course of the past few years the main emphasis has been on the complete machining of drilled holes. This is a field in which a considerable amount of service and technical support is inevitable, and this is ensured by a team of qualified applications technicians.Our customers come from a wide variety of industries, such as the automotive industry, automotive suppliers, machine tool and machine manufacturers as well as the plant construction and engineering industry. They regard us as competent partners for solutions to the problems of very fine boring.
We place great value on innovations and the further development of our products. The range of tools includes cutting materials such as carbide, cermet, PCD and CBN as well as the most up-to-date coatings to improve performance.
