Floating holders

Reamers are finishing tools which are only able to compensate errors in the location of the pre-machined bore or positioning during machining to a very limited range. The quality of the bore hole is therefore to a very large extent dependent upon the alignment between the machining axis and the axis of the pre-drilled bore. This applies to both single and to multiple edge reamers.

If this pre-condition is not met, the Beck floating holder can correct these alignment errors by the radial play incorporated in its design. The reamers thus still achieve the usual high drilling qualities even under less favourable machining conditions.

The Beck floating holder can be used vertically, horizontally and for both clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation.
