Shrink chucks

This is a particularly efficient method of clamping tools, taking advantage of thermophysical material properties. Owing to the distinctive symmetry and the consequent high degree of balance, shrink chucks are used particularly at high rotational speeds. Shrink chucks are not suitable for receiving cylindrical shanks with a clamping surface.

ATTENTION

The shank of our RR01 high performance reamer is made of steel. For this reason only induction shrinkage devices may be used that are explicitly suitable for shrinking steel.
